Flyin’ Food Drive Success for Wings of Faith

23 June, 20 / Community, Sunland Asphalt

On Saturday, June 20, 2020, Sunland led the efforts for the Flyin’ Food Drive on the newly constructed runway at the Holbrook Municipal Airport in Holbrook, Arizona. Donations were collected for the Wings of Faith organization to benefit Native American reservations and help those affected by COVID-19. Breakfast was served from a local restaurant to support small businesses in the community.

With 27 planes flying in delivering donations, this event had over 50 volunteers that delivered nearly 10,000 pounds of supplies including non-perishable and canned food, cleaning and disinfecting supplies, and personal protective equipment such as face masks and gloves. Monetary donations upwards of $6,000 were also donated to Wings of Faith through their website: www.flywithwings.org. Ongoing donations will continue to be accepted.

Thank you to those who helped coordinate, donate and volunteer as well as our  generous sponsors at Sunland Asphalt & Construction, Arizona Cardinals, Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) – Arizona Chapter, Empire CAT, Trafficade, Vital Contracting, Haydon Building CorpCMT Engineering Laboratories, Sitech, BCT Trucking, and S3.
