Each year, the Phoenix Business Journal recognizes privately held companies throughout the Valley through the Arizona Corporate Excellence (ACE) Awards.  Sunland Asphalt was recognized as the 21st Fastest Growing Company and the 24th Top Privately Held Company in Arizona.

The goal of the ACE Awards is to develop an increasing sense of knowledge-sharing and community among private companies in Arizona.  Firms from various industries and sizes were recognized in several categories including Arizona’s Top Privately Held Companies, Arizona’s Fastest Growing Companies, Rookie of the Year, CEO of the Year, Community Impact and Innovator of the Year.
