Sunland has grown from an asphalt maintenance company into a full service general contractor. We offer an array of construction and maintenance services including asphalt repairs, crack sealing, sealcoating, chip seal, milling, pulverizing, reconstruction, paving, striping, earthwork and grading, as well as concrete, utility adjustments, underground wet utilities, structures and concrete. Sunland Asphalt & Construction, Inc. was founded by CEO, Doug DeClusin in Phoenix, Arizona.
Sunland opened an office in Tucson, Arizona to expand asphalt and pavement maintenance services in southern Arizona.
Sunland dove into the market of sports construction with its introduction of Sunland Sports. The division provided the construction of sports surfaces including turf fields, tennis courts and running tracks.
Sunland merged with Tucson based asphalt company, Saguaro Pavement Maintenance to expand operations in southern Arizona.
Sunland opened an office in Las Vegas, Nevada to provided asphalt and pavement maintenance services in southern Nevada, northern Arizona, and nearby areas of California.
Sunland began the Public Works Division to focus on partnering with governmental agencies and municipalities throughout the state of Arizona. This division is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona and specializes in Job Order Contracts (JOC's).
Sunland launched the National Accounts Division to perform asphalt and pavement maintenance services for clients with multiple properties located across the Unites States.
After performing asphalt and pavement maintenance services in Albuquerque, New Mexico for over 15 years, Sunland opened an office in the city.
Sunland began the New Construction Division to focus on earthwork and grading services for the private sector in Arizona.
Sunland launched the Infrastructure Division that performed earthwork and grading, underground wet utilities, concrete and structures.
Sunland Sports is sold and became Elite Sports Builders.
Sunland's New Construction and Infrastructure Divisions merge to become the Civil Division. This division offers construction services to both public and private clients in Arizona.
Sunland acquired Black Gold Asphalt & Concrete in Littleton, Colorado to perform asphalt and pavement maintenance and concrete services in Colorado.
Sunland Launched Solterra Materials with multiple plant locations in Arizona.
Huron Capital acquired Sunland Asphalt.
Sunland merged with Ace Asphalt.
