Wheeler Construction, Inc. 1997 to 2008 – Grade Checker, Operator, Project Engineer / Estimator

Fann Contracting, Inc. 2008 to 2021 – Project Manager

Background & Experience:

Project management of a wide range of projects. These projects & experiences include interstate rehabilitation, private subdivisions, commercial developments, rest area rehabilitation, airport rehabilitations, transfer station rehabilitations, landfill construction, dam rehabilitation, bridges, hard rock earthmoving, hard rock blasting, earthmoving, rock scaling, asphalt hot plant experience, crushing experience, storm drain experience, structure experience, underground experience, concrete experience, landscape experience, SWPPP experience, value engineering experience, etc. Including being part of the state and international partnering awards and engineering excellence awards.

I was born into the construction industry. I am also very fortunate to have and continue to learn from and work alongside some of the very best people in the business.

Describe your position with Sunland. What does a typical day look like for you?

Overseeing and assisting with Public Works projects. Work alongside other Sr. Project Managers, Project Managers, Project Superintendents, and Estimators.

I enjoy the fact that a typical day is never the same… I report to the office or field and help manage projects that fall under my umbrella. Some of these tasks include attending weekly meetings, assisting with paperwork on the projects, helping problem solve, keeping in close contact with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, helping review bids, etc. All while trying not to screw things up too bad!

What was your favorite subject in school?

It’s been many, many years since school, but from what I can remember, it was sports: particularly basketball and golf! Seriously though, I enjoyed science and geology.

What do you do for fun?

The list is long, but in short: Spending time with family, traveling, hunting, fishing, and camping.

Where is your favorite vacation destination?

I’ll pick two: Alaska & Saint Martin.​
