Description

This project was a conventional coverlay, installing 1.5-inches of new hot mix asphalt on top of an existing layer of asphalt.  Prior to installation, the lot was milled, and all utilities were pre-lowered below the existing asphalt to prevent damage.  This project was particularly difficult due to the fact the majority of parking stalls were covered by canopies.  This created issues with the ability to access the majority of the site with the paving equipment and required more hand work and time.  After the overlay was installed all of the striping and parking blocks were installed back to the original layout.
